Wearable Food Waste - World Food Forum

Last month, on October 18th, 2023, at the FAO headquarters, our Bites of Transfoodmation Team had the opportunity to collaborate with the World Food Forum and the FAO Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Environment (OCB) – Environment Team for the event Wearable Food Waste, which brought together the Food and Fashion Industry.

We explored the fascinating narratives of innovators who have ingeniously transformed food waste into fashionable wearables, showcasing the remarkable potential of the bioeconomy.

These stories not only redefine the landscape of the fashion industry but also play a pivotal role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

A big thank you to all of you who made this event possible:

FAO,  World Food Forum, Vegea srl, Orange Fiber, Spora Studio, Barbara della Rovere, Bananatex and Ananas Anam.
